How to view the images.

This is the same tree in the first Peebles 3D page. The Tweed is just below the trees in the back and two benches are visible.

Here's a view from snow covered Venlaw Hill overlooking Peebles. While snow clearly blankets the hilltop, the town in the valley is green.

Taken March 2002.

The next two images are of the same wind-damaged tree. This was the results of the hurricane force winds that hit Scotland in February, 2002.

Here we see the tree snapped like a proverbial twig.

The tree is just one of many that didn't survive the elements in this devastating natural phenomenon. On the opposite side of the Tweed, Neidpath Castle is visible.

This picture is visible as both a 3D image and a single larger picture. It was taken in Manor Valley, just outside of Peebles. Sheep graze peacefully in a meadow as the sun sets.

This tree lined lane is also outside of the main town of Peebles. In the distance a lone walker is visible along the graceful country lane.
Although this image is not in 3D, it illustrates the type of lighting effects that frequently happen in this lovely part of the planet.

The Fatheringham footbridge is part of the Peebles "three bridge walk" on the River Tweed. The grand Tweed Bridge and the Priorsford footbridge on the opposite side of town complete the trio.

This image dramatically illustrates the effect of the three dimension.

It was taken in Peebles in March of 2002.

The final image here is a shot taken late in 2001 under the Tweed Bridge. The steeple of St. Andrew Lechie church beautifully punctuates the low skyline of the quaint Royal Burgh of Peebles.
